Reflections on 2018 at The Neighborhood Center

As 2018 draws to a close I cannot help but reflect on all that has been accomplished this year.  I think to myself, what do YOU and more than 200 dedicated employees of the Neighborhood Center help provide each year to more than 40,000 individuals in the Mohawk Valley and beyond?

I am proud to say that both the employees of The Center AND you, have helped to provide a broad and diverse array of programs and services.  Services such as child care to at-risk adolescent programming, mobile crisis intervention to out-patient behavioral healthcare, assistance for high-needs families to employment services for persons with mental illness, and much more. That’s’ the good news.

Unfortunately, the need is even greater this year.  So, we are taking it to the next level.

With your help,

Our past success has opened the door for our agency to move into the addictions treatment arena. We plan to open Soularium in 2019.  Soularium will be an in-patient treatment center in Herkimer County.  It will be for the growing population of persons with substance abuse and alcohol addictions.

Also

We’ve also been named as the lead agency in a Behavioral Health Care Collaborate by New York State.  We’re leading more than 60 providers as partners and affiliates in a value-based payment model to provide quality outcomes for persons with behavioral health issues.   In addition, we’re partnering with the Mohawk Valley Perinatal Center to expand our services even more.

Looking forward

We’re looking forward to this next phase of the Neighborhood Center because as we say, “There’s so much that we do.”   But we cannot do it without your continued support.  We need your help to be able to maintain these invaluable services to our community.  Would you consider making a year-end gift of $100…ANY gift you make will be gratefully received.  DONATE NOW

You can make an impact

Through your year-end gift to The Neighborhood Center’s Annual Fund, you will be helping many families, and individuals, possibly someone you know.  You are the one who has the impact.  The Neighborhood Center has been here to help build a stronger community and with your help, will continue to be here for years to come.

Warmest holiday wishes to you and thank you for your support,

Sandra Soroka
Executive Director
