Unique Format Due to COVID Limitations; “Once Upon a Night”

UTICA, NY Gala Di Mistero presents an “Un-Gala” this year to benefit the work of The Neighborhood Center. Celebrate with a mysterious, intriguing, and entertaining evening on June 18th. The event will start Friday, June 11th with the delivery of the “Once Upon a Night” mystery box. Inside the box will be clues to be solved which will aid Un-Gala guests to find their way out of the Forbidden Forest. There will be five different clue boxes to solve in order for travelers to be eligible to be entered into a Grand Prize drawing. Participants will have one week to submit their solution that solves the Forbidden Forest mystery.

On June 18th a second box will be delivered to participants homes. This box will contain hors d’oeuvres and libations for two to enjoy during a special live ZOOM event starting at 7 PM. The evening of mystery and live entertainment will culminate with revealing the winner of the drawing from savvy individuals who solved the mystery of getting out of the Forbidden Forest!

Sandra Soroka, Executive Director of The Neighborhood Center, said; “We are excited for the 4th year of this annual event, after cancelling last year’s plans due to the pandemic. This year we will transport guests through the Forbidden Forest to participate with everyone gathered on June 18th. We have created an imaginative, unique, and fun evening for people to be truly entertained.  We’re grateful to the community and our Mohawk Valley sponsors who support the youth programs of The Neighborhood Center.”
