DRIVER- ADULT RECOVERY SERVICES
A Part-time position is available with our Adult Recovery Services program (ARS) providing transportation with our van in Oneida County, NY.
This program provides life enhancing/skill building services to adults diagnosed with mental illness. Come be a part of a committed team serving our communities!
Available shifts: Monday through Friday; 8:30am-10:00am and 3:00pm-4:30pm
JOB DESCRIPTION: The Adult Recovery Services (ARS) Driver will be responsible to safely and efficiently transport members to and from the ARS program.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Transport Adult Recovery Services members to the agency program site (“clubhouse”) in their designated area as assigned utilizing agency vehicle.
- Assist members on entry and exit from vehicles as necessary and other related courtesies as appropriate.
- Maintain records of individuals transported, mileage, and other variables as assigned.
- Provide basic cleaning of the agency vehicle after each trip including but not limited to removing trash, retrieving and cataloguing items left by individuals who were transported.
- Maintain self in a professional manner at all times, adhering to The Neighborhood Center policy, procedures and in keeping with the Agency’s mission statement.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor and Agency Administration.
- Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility of each employee. Employees are expected to report to work as scheduled, on time and prepared to start working.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid New York State Driver’s License with acceptable driving record as per agency policy.
- Ability to work and drive effectively and safely in various types of weather.
- Experience in dealing effectively and patiently with people.
- Knowledge of the rules and regulations involved in the safe and efficient operation of a motor vehicle.
- High School Diploma or Equivalency Diploma preferred. EOE
