PROJECT HOPE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Project Hope Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the Project Hope Team.

Part-time position with excellent benefits. Basic work schedule: 20 hours per week; Some flexibility required as necessary to meet program needs.
The position is part of a new program and provides disaster counseling and outreach to individuals, families and groups who have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19. This is a six (6) month grant funded position.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Provides administrative support including but not limited to collecting and verifying timesheets, collecting data forms, ordering supplies, answering office phone calls, and facilitating electronic support to the program staff for all Project Hope activities.
• Schedules events and related training activities.
• Provides administrative support to ensure efficient operation of program.
• Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning administrative projects and expediting work results.
• Exhibits polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail.
• Supports team by performing tasks related to organization and strong communication.
• Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
• Provides information by responding to questions and requests in a timely manner.
• Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Maintains self in professional manner at all times, adhering to the Neighborhood Center policy, procedures and in keeping with the Agency’s mission statement.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Demonstrated extensive knowledge of community resources and multiple human service delivery systems.

• Demonstrated organizational, and communication skills commensurate with this position.

• Demonstrated ability to be flexible and work independently.

• Demonstrated ability to secure cooperation of and work effectively with supervisory and program staff.

• Knowledge of appropriate software including: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat

High School Diploma/Equivalency Diploma with two (2) years of administrative assistant experience. EOE
