PSYCHOSOCIAL REHABILITATION SERVICE PROVIDER:

Part-time positions are available in our Children and Family Treatment and Support Services (CFTSS) program. Work “Per Diem” (19 or less hours per week) in an innovative community based program.
Boost your income! Non-traditional hours are available based on your schedule/availability.
Our clients may have difficulty engaging in formal office settings but can benefit from home and community-based rehabilitative services.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Restore and rehabilitate a child’s developmentally appropriate functioning as necessary for the integration of the child as an active and productive member of her/his family and community.
The services may include:
· Promote personal and community competence, personal independence, autonomy, and mutual supports by developing and strengthening the individual’s independent community living skills and integration into the community.
· Build and enhance social and interpersonal skills (to increase community tenure and avoid more restrictive placements)
· Build and enhance personal relationships
· Establish support networks
· Increase community awareness
· Develop coping strategies
· Build and enhance daily living skills to improve self-management of the negative effects of psychiatric, emotional and physical health, and developmental or substance use symptoms that interfere with a person’s daily living.
· Promote personal autonomy skills such as learning to manage stress, unexpected daily events and disruptions, and behavioral/physical health symptoms with confidence.
· Community integration includes implementing learned skills so the child can remain in her/his natural community location and achieve developmentally appropriate functions in the following areas: social skills, health skills, and effectively responding to or avoiding identified precursors or triggers that result in functional impairments.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid NYS Driver’s License and reliable transportation required.
- Must possess a High School Diploma/Equivalency Diploma and have a minimum of 2 (two) years of experience in children’s mental health service, addiction and/or foster care services.
