Important update regarding The Neighborhood Center and COVID-19

In response to the current public health threat The Neighborhood Center is supporting and instituting the following actions:

  • At close of business on Tuesday March 17, 2020 all sites will be closed to the public until April 20, 2020.
  • Many of our programs will continue to operate remotely, albeit on a somewhat limited service basis.
  • Additionally, we will continue to maintain our business phone as a means to assist individuals in need in whatever capacity we can.

These short term actions are necessary for the safety and well-being of all.

While we all must maintain social distancing to reduce the spread of this virus, please remember that these precautions are temporary and necessary only for a little while.ย  We urge all to relax and follow the recommendations of our local health officials.

If you or a loved one is having difficulty coping the Crisis Assessment Team is available 24/7 at 315-732-6228.

Letโ€™s all do our part to help reduce the spread! ย  Stay home when possible, but donโ€™t forget to get some fresh air by going for a walk even if itโ€™s only in your backyard.ย  Exercise is important and will not only keep your body healthy, but your mind as well! Meditation is a very beneficial way to help center ourselves, try to spend at least 10 minutes a day focusing on breathing and calmness.ย  Itโ€™s a great time to learn a new hobby or skill.

Donโ€™t be afraid to laugh! Have fun by playing some games!ย  Donโ€™t watch too much TV and when you do keep it light hearted!

And of course wash your hands!!!

We look forward to seeing you all in April!

Stay well friends!
