Job Description: The IT/EMR (Electronic Medical Records) Support Tech will be responsible for providing technical support and solutions to all computer and network-related issues in the organization. The IT Support Tech will install, maintain and troubleshoot hardware and software systems. The IT Specialist, under the supervision of the IT Director, will oversee the day-to-day operations of computers, networks, and peripherals, while maintaining support tickets and documentation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage Help Desk tickets in a timely manner.
- Installing and configuring hardware and software systems.
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with computers, networks, and peripherals.
- Providing technical support to end-users.
- Managing and maintaining IT assets and equipment.
- Collaborating with other teams to provide technical solutions and support.
- Developing and maintaining technical documentation and manuals.
- Ensuring that all IT systems and equipment are secure and up-to-date.
- Conducting regular maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance of IT systems.
- Conducting training and workshops to improve end-users’ technical knowledge and skills.
- Performing Onsite Support as needed.
- Performing Remote Support as appropriate.
- Maintains a professional manner at all times, Neighborhood Center policy and procedures and in keeping with the Agency’s mission statement
- Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates Degree or equivalent experience in tech support/helpdesk support.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
- Proficient in hardware and software troubleshooting, installation, and configuration.
- Basic network understanding and troubleshooting.
- Experience working in Windows 10 or higher platform systems.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite.
- Firm understanding of desktop hardware, diagnosing problems and ability to use diagnostic tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to operate independently, without constant supervision.
- Valid driver’s license & reliable vehicle.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires the ability to:
- Sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Lift up to 25 lbs.
- Work in confined spaces or awkward positions
- Travel between agency buildings and locations using own vehicle (w/ paid ,mileage)
